CHICAGO CANINE RESCUE
The Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation's (CCRF) mission is to decrease the thousand of euthanizations and abuses in our city through dog rescue and adoption. CCRF saves displaced and homeless dogs throughout the Chicagoland area and places these dogs in loving homes through responsible adoption. CCRF believes that we can instill respect and appreciation for animals and contribute to making Chicago a no-kill city. CCRF is a 100% volunteer organization and guarantees that all donations go straight to the rescued dogs.
THE SALVATION ARMY FAMILY GATHERING HOME
The Salvation Army Family Gathering Home is the first of its kind in the Nation. The Salvation Army works with the Cook County Juvenille Courts in providing an alternative outlet for rehabilitation of at-risk youths. Instead of sending them out of state to a youth correctional facility, the Family Gathering Home allows the young men to stay in the community, in a family environment, but away from the negative street pressures of their past. By approaching rehabilitation holistically, the Family Gathering Home's success rate is far greater than any alternative.
